Chemung Canal Trust Company Alerts Customers to New Telephone Scam

Chemung Canal Trust Company has become aware of unsolicited, fraudulent telephone calls falsely informing card holders that their credit card or debit card has been canceled.  The caller then asks for the card holder's account number.

Please be aware that these phone calls are fraudulent. If you should receive a phone call, we encourage you to hang up immediately.  It is Chemung Canal Trust Company's policy to never ask for account numbers/card numbers in the form of an unsolicited phone call or email.
